Iron Man 2 The Video Game Trailer.
Written by Ray on July 24, 2009 – 2:05 pm -Reviews for the first Iron Man video game were terrible at best, and which of course always warrants a sequel.

Microsoft Motion Capture Controlling.
Written by Ray on June 1, 2009 – 3:49 pm -
Furthering the trend of companies assuming gamers want to move something aside from their thumbs; Microsoft today gave us something
unexpected; motion capture controlling.
With this you will be able to use your body to control the game or to navigate through menus and control your avatar. There are a few games on the horizon which include a ball throwing/dodging(doge-ball?), fighting, and a paint game.
All reports coming from people lucky enough to be at E3 have been fantastic.
No date has been given yet on when I can purchase my future method of exercising.

Fuck you Activision, stop raping my games.
I know this is to be expected, but could 6 come out first?
That is all I have to say.

Want to play an irritatingly large game of Tetris that you could last hours before you lose or fill half the screen?

Genaric WW2 FPS. At least the multiplayer is decent.
Written by Ray on January 8, 2009 – 3:48 pm -I really cannot call this an amazing game by any standards. It’s a good game, certainly does not live up to COD4.  The game play was relatively short; however, the multiplayer mode fully compensates for it.
The game is split into two different campaigns; one being a Russian and the other an American. The goal in the Russian campaign is to defend the Russian homeland and then invade Germany. While the American campaign mainly focuses on the Pacific Front against the Japanese.
The story line is very generic; to sum it up: it’s the sounds of Russian’s screaming and Kiefer Sutherland swearing non-stop.
Now for the good part: Multiplayer features, like drivable vehicles, are once again possible; medics are back in the form of a perk and there are more sniping possibilities (if you are a pussy like me).
There are still kill streak benefits, three kills is a recon plane, five is an artillery strike, and at seven kills you can unleash a pack of dogs. Yes. Dogs. I was surprised as well when I found myself shooting dogs that were biting me.  I find them far more effective than the Helicopter award from COD4; for one they are effective indoors and secondly, they come out of nowhere and with two bites you’re dead.
If you’re strapped for cash then I would keep playing COD4 but if you’re feeling rich and want to continue the series then by all means, buy away.Â

Force Unleashed: Slicey Dicey
Written by Ray on October 22, 2008 – 10:34 pm -
First off I am a proud Lucas hater, fan of the one true saga, hater of the new.
Example, when I sat down to write a review of Clone Wars I found myself writing expletive laced gibberish proclaiming my feeling for what he has done to the Saga, needless to say it was never posted.
But thankfully for my blood pressure, this is the first thing to come from Lucas in a long time that didn’t put me into hysteria.
This game has a strong story, far better graphics than Attack of the Clones, plus flinging a lightsaber into the head of a Rancor is always a cause for delight. Â
Abridged version of what is going on for anyone clueless to what I am talking about. You are Vaders apprentice tasked in bringing enemies of the Empire to justice.
Game play kicked ass, force powers, combos, and as mentioned prior, you are using a lightsaber….no complaints there.
Visually; kicked super ass, incredibly far draw distance, and the level of detail to the environment and characters were all super duper. Â
Now the piss off factor, whenever taking on a major opponent, Whether it be an end of level boss, AT-ST, etc. you are forced into a DDR scenario where rather then watch you slice through an AT-ST , you are focused to the bottom of the screen looking for what button to push next. It’s never a hard situation; the combinations are fairly easy and never really increase in difficulty.
Here comes the classic if it were up to me, which is probably why I write rather than produce.
I would have your skill to take your nemesis down, not random buttons that they tell you to push. When their health is down to nothing, then the cut scene happens and you can watch yourself slice and dice.
To me I see no point in why they felt the need to spend so much time and money working on these scenes when you can’t pay attention to them, since you are focused on 5 percent of the screen at most.
But really, that is my only bitch. I still haven’t tried it on Live, I’m too much of a COD4 addict to bother.

Colinization 2, dammit.
Written by Ray on October 8, 2008 – 4:01 pm -Civilization 4 Colonization; or simply Colonization 2 as the cool kids put it has finally been released, and with glee I actually bought my first PC game in years.
I have the first one down to a science. Well it’s not that hard. Settle near the Incas then blow the shit out of them, take their gold, buy a mass amount of cannons and wait for the King to show up.
This game sadly needs help. I have played through the game almost twice now. First time I simply beat it after 400 turns and had the highest score. Not sure how, I didn’t even kill any natives.
Second time I was far more aggressive, large armies and a strong economy. My problem however was that my rebel sentiment would not rise above 18%, regardless of how long and how many Statesmen I had. I checked on line and noticed that many people are having the same problem. A solution I read was to remove all citizens with the exceptions of people who are working the town hall and farmers providing just enough food to prevent starvation. I did this for around a hundred turns with sentiment never rising.
With my boredom peaked at this point, the game is sitting on my shelf where it will remain untill a patch is released.
This truly surprised me that the game would end up in this fashion. The key point to victory being bug prone really doesn’t sit well with me.
Let’s just hope a patch is released soon.

Babysitting in Vegas 2
Written by Ray on July 14, 2008 – 12:13 am -I know this is a bit behind since the game has been out for awhile now. With next to no publicity for whatever reason. I imagine Ubisoft just assumed with the mass success of the first, that people would just instantly buy it and love it. But I had other games to play.
Now I did play the first, but a long time ago, so I can’t really remember much, and I am only playing this game in co-op mode so I do not know if there is a difference to normal campaign, but I can say that I remember there being more of a story line in the first, or rather explanation of what is going on a bit better rather than just a com link updating you on random shit that you weren’t even sure of in the first place.
In regards to game play it isn’t that bad. You kill people, nothing revolutionary by any means. My biggest complaint is the retarded team that you have to guide. Nothing irritates me more than babysitting idiots with guns. I tend to just assign them a corner somewhere safe where they won’t get hurt and then I go on my way killing bad guys. But then of course you need them for some mundane task, such as searching a van or disabling a bomb. So you assign them the task, and then have to wait 5 minutes for them to catch up to you since you left them at the beginning of the level.
Way to make me be a team player, of course if it was a real life situation I would rather have someone else disable a bomb while I am a safe distance away. But that is probably why I am playing video games and not in the military.
Not to dwell too heavily into the antics of your companions but they are also the whiniest little bitches I have ever had to escort through a game. You hear them whine every 5 minutes that they either “Need back up immediately”, “Too many of them”, “We’re under fire”, then you get to hear the intelligent come back of “well then fire back”. I have had to re-start several missions due to me unloading my shotgun into their faces for their stupidities.
I am satisfied in the graphics area. People and scenery is exceptional, while explosions are lacking in realism. I tend to just see yellow and some smoke.
Not much else I can think of, I have not finished the game yet, and if I am wowed at any point further on then this review may change a bit, but it is doubtful.
| Story | What story? | 4 |
| Game play | if it wasn’t for babysitting morons it would be great. | 7 |
| Graphics | great except for the blowing shit up part. | 9 |
| Average | 6.5 kinda shitty… |

14 years and the sequel cometh.
Written by Ray on June 11, 2008 – 2:33 pm -Though this is not a news site by any means, when I found this out, I had to share it with the world as fast as I could, Colonization 2. Fucking right.
Well not really, it is called Civilization 4: Colonization. But still makes me squeal with glee.
